Our investigators and operatives have extensive knowledge and training acquired through law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector experience.

Jayden R. Brant

Founder / Partner

Throughout his career, Jayden has worked for the United States federal government in law enforcement and intelligence capacities as a private contractor. Jayden previously served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. While there, he worked in field operations, custody, training bureau, and numerous special assignments within the department.

He has extensive knowledge, training, and experience in criminal investigation, interrogation, undercover surveillance, case management, evidence handling, and California and Federal law.

Jayden attained California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification and completed POST Advanced Officer Training while with the LASD and continues to maintain certification. He also completed the challenging coursework for the POST Specialized Investigator Certification.

During his career, Jayden has worked with the LASD, LAPD, US Marshals Service, Diplomatic Security Service, US Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, as well as numerous local law enforcement agencies and independent investigators.

In addition to a law enforcement background, Jayden also has significant private sector experience. He has held leadership positions in the heavily regulated financial services industry not only overseeing operations of a Registered Investment Advisory Firm, but also conducting corporate due diligence and fraud investigations.

He has also provided regulatory compliance, security, and legal consulting for individuals and numerous companies across a wide variety of industries. Jayden attended Claremont McKenna College and studied computer engineering.

Jayden is a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the United States Association of Professional Investigators, the Association of Former Intelligence Officers, and the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts.

Joshua Passas

Director of Operations

As a veteran law enforcement officer with experience working with the Fontana Police Department, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and the Nevada Department of Corrections, Joshua brings a high level of institutional management skills coupled with extensive practical knowledge of law enforcement and the investigative process.

Throughout his career, Joshua has handled countless major criminal investigations including fraud, sexual assault, fatal DUI collisions, and murder. He also served as a Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) instructor and a field training officer with the Las Vegas Police Department.

While with the Fontana Police Department, Joshua excelled in the area of DUI enforcement, earning several awards from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MAAD) including multiple Double Century Awards (200+ DUI Arrests) and the top DUI Arresting Officer Award for San Bernardino County Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and certified in accident reconstruction as member of the Major Accident Investigation Team.

Joshua holds a Masters Degree of Advanced Study in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine. He also attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Liberty University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Kelani Dungca

Division Lead / Investigation

Kelani gathers and analyzes intelligence for deep background checks, difficult locates, and evidence collection. She is a keen interviewer, which includes overt and undercover activities. She uses these invaluable skills to help our clients on a multitude of cases. Additionally, she is extremely adept at conducting long-term and short-term physical and mobile surveillance. She maintains an extensive database for social media surveillance on various platforms.

Kelani has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern California (USC), where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Yi Min

Division Lead / Intelligence

He completed his police academy training with top of class performance and was certified as an Arizona Peace Officer by Arizona Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (AZ POST). He also completed AZ State Trooper Academy in addition to the POST certification and serviced as a State Trooper in the Phoenix Metropolitan area for Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS).

Through his law enforcement career, Yi has received specialized training from Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (AZ HIDTA) in drug trafficking interdiction and investigation. He has exhibited a high standard of expertise utilizing intelligence resources to assist with investigations. Yi was also a certified AZ POST general instructor. He had worked with Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and assisted local law enforcement agencies with numerous investigations.

Yi is also a dedicated and professional Navy combat veteran. During his deployment, he provided base operational support services for US Central Command Expeditionary and Maritime Component Forces supporting Operations SENTINEL, INHERENT RESOLVE, SPARTAN SHIELD and Maritime Security Operations within the USCENTCOM AOR.

He was assigned as Chief of the Guard and in charge of a multinational security force, ensuring the safety and security of 1,470 personnel and $1.7B in mission critical assets. He supervised 56,735 vehicle inspections, conducted 400 security patrols, 360 random anti-terrorism measures, and four high-profile security details with zero discrepancies.

Additionally, Yi was a leading field training officer for the Navy security force, where he conducted over 80 hours of Standard Operating Procedures, Incident Response Planning, and Pre-Planned Response training.

Yi has a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Information of Science and Engineering from the Sichuan University in China and a Masters of Advanced Study in Data Science from Grand Canyon University. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and had played a critical role in official translation during his investigative and law enforcement career.

Stephanie Hill

Case Manager - Investigation

Prior to working with Origin, Stephanie was a crime analyst for the Los Angeles Police Department and served a a staff liaison to the City of Los Angeles. She was previously an account manager for Apple, working in business sales and later in the corporate fraud department overseeing high-risk transactions.

Stephanie graduated from the University of California San Diego with a degree in Criminal Justice.

David Garak

Case Manager - Intelligence

David developed a comprehensive understanding of intelligence case management while working as an analyst for several high-profile threat assessment agencies. He has also served as an investigator and personal protection agent.

David graduated from the University of California Northridge with a degree in Psychology and is a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts.

Sara Langan

Client Relations - Corporate & Legal

While with Origin, Sara has also served as a case manager, working closely with the investigative team. It is there that she gained insight into the investigative process, learned from experienced field investigators, and developed a sense of how Origin’s work-product translates into results for our clients.

Sara has extensive experience working business development and case management for a prominent Southern California law firm. Before entering the legal field, Sara was an account manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where she led her team in sales and was often recognized for her dedication to customer service.

Sara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Connecticut State University. Sara is an associate member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Client Relations - Government & NGO

Matt has previously worked as an intelligence analyst for Origin. Prior to that, Matt utilized his engineering background as a business development associate at Raytheon. While there, he was directly responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business and keeping current business sold within the defense sector to the US government.

Matt has a bachelor’s degree in general engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Emily Walker

Administration

Emily manages the development and implementation of Origin’s policies and procedures, manages and oversees the administration of HR, implements initiatives and practices within the agency, and maintains accounts payable and receivables. Additionally, Emily supports our investigators and agents in fulfilling their ongoing professional development, training, and licensing.

Emily graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Georgetown University.

Without limiting the generality of any other disclaimers in this User Agreement, Origin is not responsible for any loss to you that arises from such use or action or from your failure to comply with these provisions regarding maintaining the security and confidentiality of your password.

Updates to the Site and Modifications to the User Agreement

You acknowledge that Origin may update the Site and its contents, and may modify the terms of this User Agreement at any time and without notice to you. Modifications will be effective immediately upon posting unless we indicate otherwise. You agree to review periodically the terms of this User Agreement. By entering the Site you agree to and fully accept this User Agreement in its then current form each time you enter the Site.

General

This User Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the state of California, without regard to its choice of law rules. Any legal action brought hereunder shall be brought exclusively in the courts in the County of Los Angeles, California, and it is agreed that such courts shall have jurisdiction over the parties to this agreement and any dispute arising hereunder. Origin may monitor and record activity on the Site and respond as we deem appropriate. If any provision of this User Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, such provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary so that such provision shall no longer be held to be invalid or unenforceable, and this User Agreement shall be interpreted so as to achieve the intent expressed herein to the greatest extent possible in the jurisdiction in question. Any such modification, invalidity or unenforceability shall be strictly limited both to such provision and to such jurisdiction.

Services are offered by Origin in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
